We are looking for a motivated and talented Senior Accountant to help us in running our day-to-day finance operations efficiently. The candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager. We are a rapidly growing eCommerce company and are looking for people who are interested in using their experience to help us serve our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review AP aging reports to stay on top of company obligations
- Recording various employee expenses into Sage, updating expenses reports
- Review and prepare supplier and vendor reconciliations. Create summary approvals for directors
- Assist on month end activities (supplier and payment processor reconciliations, accrual and prepaid workbooks, etc.)
- Prepare lead sheets on a monthly basis to match with trial balance
- Assist with month end financial statement preparation and annual external audits
- Perform other related duties as required
- Preparing and filing Canadian Sales tax returns
- Managing US sales tax returns with third party advisors
- Monthly financial reporting by different business segments
- Other ad hoc projects

Requirements
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Completion of post-secondary Accounting Diploma/Degree
- Working towards professional accounting designation (CPA) is an asset
- Intermediate to high level knowledge of Excel and computer skills
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and positive attitude is a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a deadline driven, fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Self-starter and ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct is an asset
- Passion for continuous learning
