Position Overview
The Premium Practice Specialist (PPS) drives customer value with all Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision (JJSV) Premium IOLs (PCIOL, Toric, and NPIs). This position plays a critical part in the long-term success of accounts In addition to serving as the lead for practice education/promotion of Premium products, this position plays a major role in customer retention, satisfaction, and add-on sales. This position works in collaboration with Account Executives, Senior Account Executives and Private Practice Managers and is supported by the Regional Sales Manager in helping develop strategies to gain new Premium Customers. This role will cover multiple areas in the Atlantic Canada region.
Key responsibilities
The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. Must be able to build meaningful relationships with both internal & external stakeholders. Excellent computer skills with efficient use of Office 365. The ability to create and edit large-scale PowerPoint presentations is a must. The position will interface with Physicians/Administrators/Nurse Managers and Purchasing and be expected to understand all aspects of cross-departmental selling. The PPS should have a broad understanding of Premium IOLs, practice adoption concepts, and the ability to work well within diverse settings (Hospitals, Private Centres, NHSF, and Meetings). Organized and reliable: able to work independently and make decisions based on data & facts. Travel – 40-50% Main areas of responsibility:
Works closely with the Regional Sales Manager & fellow team members to maximize efforts to identify new customers, maintain existing customers, address outstanding customer needs and provide feedback for improvement.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Delivers proactive customer contact strategy to drive adoption of our Premium portfolio of JJSV IOLs.
Increases customer satisfaction by understanding customer business needs and implementing programs to drive adoption/education of JJSV Premium products.
Monitors and tracks expected vs. actual product usage.
When needed, attends Trade Shows and meetings (e.g. AAO, ASCRS, etc.) throughout the year
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A minimum of a University Degree is required, MBA is an asset.
3 years of professional selling experience.
Knowledge of/experience in ophthalmology and pull-through of IOLs is desired.
Experience calling in on office environment is desired.
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare.
Medical device experience is highly preferred.
Background and understanding of Operating Room, as well as knowledge of evolving healthcare environment a significant asset.
Ability to travel 40-50% of the time in Canada.
Strong leadership, analytical, communication, negotiation, and collaboration / team-building skills.
