JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator of Human Resources Services, to perform various administrative and technical tasks pertinent to recruiting and hiring for non-teaching employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from posting through to hiring.
Revise job descriptions in collaboration with departments/services and ensure conformity with the Classification Plans.
Prepare and post jobs online, and ensure accuracy of information posted on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Communicate information about job postings with various stakeholders, including College employees, external applicants, the Support Staff Union (JACASPA), and the Placement Office as required.
Determine the order of priority of internal applicants in accordance with the Collective Agreement rules.
Coordinate the interview process including testing, referencing and presenting offers.
Act as HR representative and resource person on selection committees for the hiring of support and professional employees, ensuring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality throughout the selection process.
Liaise with departments/services for matters concerning the hiring of support and professional employees.
Administer files related to the hiring dossier, ensuring that all documents and files are saved and organized diligently.
Take part in regular recruiting meetings to share updates and issues related to active and upcoming postings, and to promote transparent and effective communication in the team.
Collaborate with the HR team in the development and improvement of HR processes related to recruitment and selection (strengthening talent pools of potential applicants, sourcing, marketing, etc.).
Act as back-up for social media postings.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Diploma of college studies (DEC) in Business Administration, Human Resources, or appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Advanced level of English
Intermediate level of French
Must be highly organized and autonomous, and able to prioritize effectively with a minimum of supervision
Strong interpersonal skills, and an effective communicator
Proven ability to deal with employees pleasantly and efficiently within a service orientation as well as dealing with difficult issues and situations with diplomacy
Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to produce effectively and efficiently under pressure
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to think critically and problem-solve
Knowledge of CLARA/GEREMI an asset
