Position Summary:

The Program Administrator provides administrative support and program coordination for the Program Innovation & Research team. The role directly reports to the Program Manager, Student Supports, but also provides backup administration and program coordination for the wider Program Innovation and Research team as required.

This supporting role primarily assists JUMP Math Program Innovation and Research team to develop new programs and mathematics resources and professional learning for tutoring programs, preschool programs, supplementary resources, online learning initiatives, research related projects, school and school district pilots and other products and programs. This role also works closely with Finance and Development teams to track progress and financial reporting for restricted donations from JUMP Math major gift donors.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) short term contract role for up to 6 months.

Location of Work: This role is mainly remote, but you may be required occasionally to attend in person meetings at the JUMP Math office or attend programs on site within the GTA.

Salary Range: $54,000 – $63,000 per annum based on experience

Key Accountabilities:

• Understand the goals, values, and needs of JUMP Math and its Program Innovation & Research team, assisting them to successfully execute on its annual goals and objectives
• Prepare correspondence, brief reports and presentation decks
• Assist with the modification of existing core classroom resources to be used in other contexts
• Assist the team to plan and coordinate the development of new program innovation products and programs
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding correspondence, reports, and presentations
• Manage calendars, schedule and organize meetings, agendas, travel arrangements, expenses, and contact lists as appropriate
• Assist the team to plan and coordinate JUMP Math school pilots and programs and their activities; i.e. the pilot of the new “integrated service model” for JUMP Math with various school districts and community organizations
• Help to build positive relations within the team and external partners and funders
• Keep updated records and create reports or proposals
• Work closely with Finance, Development and the Program Innovation and Research teams and other departments to assist with tracking and accurately reporting on funded programs and projects in the Program Innovation and Research department including budgets, time tracking and other outcomes related to restricted grants to enable Development to report back to funders on progress and outcomes

Skills:

• Proficient in MS Office 365 (MS Power Point, Word, MS Teams, etc.) and other project tools
• Proficiency with Google apps and tools used in educational context such as Google Docs, Google Classroom, etc., is an asset.

• Proficiency with simple budget tracking and reporting on the status of grants and funded projects

Education and Experience (minimums):

• Post-Secondary degree or diploma preferably in program coordination and/or administration/management, and/or relevant work experience in the private and/or public sectors (education preferred)
• Two years of previous experience in an administrative support or program coordination role
• Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Able to work remotely (video, teleconference, phone, etc.) and to collaborate
• A passion for education and the possibilities of math education to change lives
