Reporting To: Program Manager, Emergency Responder Program

Health Sciences Division (HSD):
HSD trains first responders, emergency medical responders and paramedics, and regulatory practitioners in
Canada and internationally.
Position Summary:
The Paramedic Academy at the Justice Institute of British Columbia invites applications from individuals
interested in sessional employment as an Instructor for the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) courses that at
our Victoria campus.
We intend to fill one position from this posting through a selection process that will include submission of a
resume and an interview process. Sessional employees will be used on an “on-call, as needed” basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Teach all or portions of the EMR course;
Qualifications:
• Licensed through the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Branch of British Columbia at the PCP level
or higher;
