Role Description

This is a hybrid internship role for a Social Content Creator at Kare Granola located in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some remote work. This role will involve creating, editing, and publishing content on social media platforms, writing blog posts, assisting with customer service requests, and supporting marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing innovative social media marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement. 
• Assist in producing engaging and compelling platform-specific content including photography, videography, video editing, blog post, and graphic design. 
• Assist in managing day-to-day communications on all social media platforms including community engagement (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Tiktok)
• Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with social media trends, industry trends, and consumer behaviour.
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess performance of campaigns and content. 
• Identify KPIs for each platform and provide regular reports and insights for continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

• This position is exclusively open to students seeking to fulfill their work placement or co-op placement as part of their academic curriculum.
• Applicants will receive academic credit for their work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
• Experience with social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Basic design and photo editing skills using software like Canva
• Social media content creation, copywriting, and blogging skills
• Comfortable working in Google Space and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Comfortable with copywriting for brand and campaign purposes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset and a keen eye for design and storytelling. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge in graphic design an asset
• Knowledge in video editing an asset 
• Passion for health and wellness, including knowledge of healthy food and lifestyle trends
• Bonus: prior experience with marketing activities, communications, sales or administrative tasks
• Bonus: interest in food industry
• Familiarity with SEO and analytics is a plus
