Our well-established client in Aylmer has partnered with Kelly Services to recruit for a Payroll Administrator to join their team fulltime. Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of a variety of Payroll, and Finance functions. We are looking for an efficient and detail-orientated team member who will be responsible for all aspects of payroll functionalities for both Canadian and United States locations. Ultimately, you will be responsible for managing employee wage/salary data, ensuring timesheets are accurate, payments are made on time, and managing both incoming and outcoming W-2 to be compliant for tax season deadlines. For this role, there will be time sensitive processes and documents as well as confidentiality requirements.
Job Duties
Inputting bi-weekly hourly and salary payroll – Canada and US
Respond to payroll questions & requests from employees
Interact with a variety of stakeholders including employees, managers, Human Resources, and Finance departments regarding payroll data
Process garnishments, terminations & payouts
Entering approved changes to employee payroll records
Submit employee RRSP deductions/remittances
Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, RRSPs, Records of Employment and other statements
Tracking eligibility dates for employment benefits and assisting new hires in enrollment
Reconciling all source deductions and benefit clearing accounts
Preparing annual reconciliations and statutory reporting, including source deductions, T4/T4A, W-2
Calculating and requesting manual payroll cheques when required
Maintaining electronic and paper-based filing of payroll records
Provide support for year-end external audit process
Compilation of statistics and a variety of reports
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Payroll and/or accounting post-secondary institution, certificate, or equivalent work experience
Experience with Ceridian or other web-based payroll system, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are considered an asset
Excellent communication skills – oral and written mediums
Due diligence in privacy & confidentiality
Attention to detail, deadlines
Adapts & embraces change
Ability to work extended hours if necessary
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Preferably possess a valid driver’s license
