SUPPLY CHAIN NPI PROJECT MANAGER
Reporting into the Supply Chain Sr. Manager, this position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver on New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as strategic Supply Chain projects. This individual will work with internal business partners to drive full alignment on NPI from concept to execution and to ensure successful service to the internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do:
Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure requirements are validated and aligned to execute new product initiatives. Requirements include, but are not limited to: sourcing location, capacity planning, production planning, transportation, warehousing and master data management
Lead with Brand, Sales, Engineering, Quality, R&D and leadership to understand project requirements, development of project timelines and risk assessments. Understand and build risk assessments mitigation plans for business case projects to be presented to the leadership.
Participate in the NPI committees for Gate approvals
Lead regular Supply Chain meetings for all active projects while ensuring strong execution from a SC point of view. Maintain an updated master list, follow up on milestone achievements and communicate risks impacting project timelines
Work with individuals at all levels to ensure successful and flawless execution of assigned projects
Support and/or lead issue resolution to identify root causes of gaps in project timelines and deliverables to prevent reoccurrence
Keep track of SC NPI checklist and ensure projects are being approved by all key functions.
Update monthly dashboard to monitor accuracy to commitments for each project
Communicate monthly key points on strategic projects and their status to broader teams
Support other supply chain cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives such as, but not limited to: plant transfers, new vendor onboarding, CAPEX requests
What you will have:
Bachelor’s degree Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply-Chain Management or related field
3 years+ supply chain experience
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system is an asset
Understanding of manufacturing concepts is an asset
Knowledge of New Product Introduction processes highly preferred
Experience in Consumer Products preferred
Expertise in common knowledge-worker tools (Windows, Office Professional, Visio, etc.) and specialized project/program management software (MS Project, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Collaborative, appreciative style of management and engagement with others.
