Position: Operations Analyst (Middle-Back Office)
Location: Montreal / Hybrid
Reports to: CFO

Our client is an independent multi-family office based in Montreal. Our client is at the crossroads of many disciplines such as wealth management, law, international taxation and philanthropy, to name a few. Their ambition is to provide their clients with personalized and global support within a unique and independent structure.
Our client is currently seeking an “Operations Analyst (middle-back office)” to fill a position primarily focused on custody activities and providing support to the Operations team.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure timely tracking of custody activities for the group (receipt of instructions, execution, processing/entry, settlement, monitoring, and reconciliation).
· Prepare service agreements with new clients and open accounts in the internal portfolio management system.
· Complete subscription, redemption, and transfer documents, and communicate/liaise with issuers, administrators, and transfer agents.
· Ensure the accuracy of information provided by depositories and/or sub-depositories and other counterparties, and reconcile it with the internal portfolio management system.
· Prepare various reports related to back office and custody activities, including client reports.
· Improve processes and controls to ensure the accuracy of information entered into the system and information provided to clients, document and update procedures for tasks performed.
· Compile information for the production of various tax documents.
· Perform any other related tasks.
Required Qualifications:
· B.B.A. or related field.
· Understanding of interactions between portfolio management firms and their intermediaries.
· Good knowledge of financial products (including private investment funds, equities, ETFs, mutual funds), various settlement and clearing platforms, and securities operations.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, as well as portfolio management systems (Harmony is an asset).
· Excellent attention to detail (diligence and precision).
· Strong organizational skills.
· Self-motivated and capable of taking initiatives, identifying and solving problems, and making improvements.
· Good oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively independently and with colleagues in a team environment.
· Versatile and open-minded.
Tasks related to the position require proficiency in the English language. The selected candidate will regularly communicate with clients, business partners, banking counterparts, fund managers, and custodians outside of Quebec and Canada.
