We are looking to hire a Pricing Specialist for our Sea Logistics division based in Vancouver.
Your Role
The Sea Logistics Pricing analyst will be responsible for supplying quotes and /or costs for inquiries from existing and new customers among other tasks. ThePricing Analyst will work closely with local customer service, development teams, sales as well with our overseas offices to source pricing and generate Seafreight quotations to support regular and/or spot pricing inquiries.
Your Responsibilities
Preparation and presentation of quotes with selling rates in order to support the sales and customer service teams.
Analyze record and prepare reports identifying any trends in the level of quote activity an achievement against target to the Branch Pricing Manager in order to monitor performance.
Prioritize quotation requests, most important opportunities are processed as fast as possible.
Knowledge and ability to take the lead in different scenarios where a fast decision hast to be made to secure a business.
Engagement with Sea Logistics trade teams to ensure the most competitive rate is provided based on the value of the opportunity.
Communicate regularly with other teams such as Customer Service, Ocean Carriers, overseas offices when applicable.
Follow up of quotations as needed. Communicate the feedback and take applicable decisions to source the rates required to support the closure of business opportunities.
Use the quote feedback to quote more effectively for future opportunities and liaise with Seafreight management for pricing guidance.
Your Skills and Experiences
2 years experience in Logistics & Transportation, preferably in Pricing and Operations.
Previous experience in a similar role in the logistics industry is required.
Experience in Sea Logistics industry is required.
Knowledge of sea operations.
Strong systems knowledge (Microsoft Excel/Outlook).
French knowledge is an asset.
Degree / Diploma in International Business, Trade, Logistics is preferred.
Undergraduate degree in logistics or related business fields.
CIFFA certificate is an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work successfully under pressure and within given deadlines / excellent time management skills.
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
Highly analytical, process driven, and detail oriented.
Must be customer oriented and be able to create solutions to meet customer needs.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Pro-Active and positive attitude.
Strong sense of teamwork.
