LDS Premier is a successful Landstar agency; working through the Landstar network providing services to fit our customers logistics needs. We are now seeking a motivated, team oriented person to join our Operations Team.
This position includes, but is not limited to:
– This opportunity requires a great attitude, reliable work ethic, personal drive to excel and strong listening and communication skills. You must have computer skills, essential office and personal phone skills.
– Utilizing web-based programs to secure capacity for freight lanes
– Dispatching drivers/carriers for over-the-road, truckload and LTL services across the 48 states including Canada and Mexico (truckload, flatbed, step-deck, specialized, LTL, bulk, intermodal, rail)
– Data entry, data analyzing, reporting
– Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems
– General Knowledge of freight logistics
– Have the ability to work as a team
– Have strong administrative skills, proficiency in MS Office
– Have a positive, self-motivating attitude
– Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
– Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and email etiquette
– Must be flexible with hours and work times
– Detail oriented and organized
– Problem solving and interaction with customers daily to provide proper equipment, negotiating, tracking and on-time freight transportation
– Results driven with exceptional practical judgment, orientation to detail, conflict resolution skills with integrity all while being part of an exceptional operations team
– Candidate will be responsible for diagnosis assessing and resolving problems or issues timely within the established levels of service
– Candidate must be able to handle stressful situations resulting from high volume of phone calls, technical problems, frustrated customers and changes in departmental priorities and procedures.
