Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager, working closely with the Senior Leadership team, will manage the business development activities of clients for our Calgary operations. This role is responsible for the preparation and delivery of Bid Pre-qualifications, Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests proposals and presentations, in support of the Building Division.
The Business Development Manager will develop and manage ongoing client relationships, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to execute a strategy for client selection.

Essential Responsibilities:
Coorindates short and long-range business development strategies with existing and new target clients
Executes business development strategies to create new opportunities to meet strategic, budget and tactical objectives.
Works closely with the branch, corporate and national account teams to meet defined targets.
Provides feedback to the senior leadership team on key contacts and project status for all large projects in the Calgary area.
Maintains the client and prospect database through the Ledcor CRM system.
Leads and takes substantial ownership of the preparation of responses to pre-qualifications, RFQ and EOIs
Coordinates Ledcor’s client presentations with Senior Leadership Team.
Manages and participates in client, community and professional events to promote Ledcor.
Works collaboratively with other Ledcor Business Development groups to share knowledge and ideas about markets, trends and new business initiatives.
Develops and maintains relevant industry, project-specific financial and budgetary information for the management team.
Stays current with industry trends to identify new markets and opportunities.

Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a Business Development related role
Completion of post-secondary education in Business, Engineering or another related field
Proven experience writing and managing submissions, RFQs, RFPs, and presentations.
Past success in developing and implementing strategic plans to meet sales targets.
Possesses excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to think strategically.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to present highly refined technical material to clients.
Customer service focused, as well as experience working in a team environment.
Solid understanding and proficient use of CRM and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Thorough knowledge of the local Real Estate Development or Commercial Construction industry is considered an asset.
