LHH Knightsbridge Looking for Learning and Development Manager at Greater Toronto Area, Canada Full Time

THE OPPORTUNITY

Design, develop, and facilitate training programs and materials that continuously improve workplace readiness by collaborating with HR and functional managers. Report and track all training (skills, product, systems, operational, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITES

• Design and develop new national training material and customized courses for a variety of delivery channels (e.g., in-person, online, just-in-time, blended) that will allow us to lay the foundation for what is expected in critical roles.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to gather requirements and translate the content into interactive blended learning tools and instructional material.
• Ensure all phases of the project management process (Start-up, Plan, Implement, Close) are executed, tracked, and communicated to stakeholders. Manage priorities within budget and deliver on compliance requirements.
• Review and quality test learning materials on an ongoing basis to ensure that it is up to date and relevant.
• Develop a standardized means to measure training effectiveness across the organization through well-defined KPIs.
• Develop and maintain learning paths / plans for different roles within the company.
• Help managers develop associates though career pathing.
• Manage, deploy, and facilitate national training / learning initiatives.
• Manage the LMS internal system (SuccessFactors).
• Manage the training grant application process for each division across Canada with the intention of leveraging applicable grants.
• Participate in pilot sessions to determine the efficacy of solutions, learner engagement and opportunities for improvement as needed.
• Participate in monthly global L&D calls to, collaborate, assess, and review best practices across the organization.
• Liaise with the global stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of the LMS, LinkedIn Learning, Open Sesame and LRN systems.

EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES

• 5+ years of experience in design and facilitation high impact and innovative learning programs and initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Adult Learning certificate with a strong foundation in adult learning theory, instructional design and learning evaluation.
• Project Management experience.
• Experience in managing LMS and leveraging content providers.
• Practical knowledge and experience with different technologies and software, including learning management systems and authoring tools, particularly, Articulate and Adobe Photoshop, for training design purposes.
• Exemplary communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with associates, vendors, etc.
• Familiarity with other e-learning platforms and best practices.
• 25%-30% travel as needed.
