Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience working in accounting
Experience working with accounting software (PCLaw, Soluno, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc) and PDF
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
Experience working in a Law Firm considered an asset
Experience and knowledge of Law Society of Ontario bookkeeping regulations considered an asset
Superior written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Generate, prepare, and review pre-bills monthly or as needed and distributes them accordingly
Upload e-bills to client portals. Monitor rejections of e-bills and work with internal and external staff to rectify the invoice
Accounts Payable: Post vendor accounts and reconcile monthly
Accounts Receivable: Generate and provide monthly financial reports. Follow-up with internal staff and external clients where required
Monitor deposit accounts to ensure funds are available
General accounting duties such as but not limited to scanning, filing, mailing payments, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the Managing Directors, Office Manager and/or Accounting Manager
