COMPENSATION: $22.33/hour

To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a Personal Support Worker.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Personal Support Worker will provide assistance and support on a full time basis to clients who are living with mental health and addiction issues and who have also been involved with the justice system, living in supportive housing. This includes assisting with personal care and homemaking, including meal preparation, unit cleaning. The Personal Support Worker is responsible for assisting with the social/recreational program for the residents, accompanying the residents to medical appointments and working with community services associated with the personal support program or with partners, family members and friends. This person will also attend meetings in collaboration with the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) team. This person will also be required to monitor the activities of the residents, assess potential crisis situations, provide basic maintenance and cleaning of common areas, preparing/serving meals, supervise the property and keep an up-to-date inventory of supplies. In addition, the staff member will maintain the established routines of the program including all security, fire, infection control, and general health and safety practices.
Note: Various shifts availability required; evenings, overnights and weekends.
