LRI Invest S.A. Looking for Manager- Real Asset Fund Account at Mississauga, ON Full Time

We are currently looking for Vice President _ Real Assets – to support our growing operations.

• The “Vice President _ Real Assets” is responsible for owning and leading the Real Assets Fund Accounting team located in the 2 nominated regions:

• USA, Canada

• The role will include local office and offshore office operations delivery for every aspect of Real Assets Fund Accounting
• Will act as a business relationship manager for all Fund Accounting issues across North America team
• Close working relationship with Client Strategic management teams, Product and Client Relationship Managers.
• Ensure the quality (accuracy, timeliness, and delivery) of Service

Technical:

• Review of Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files for a variety of Real Estate funds, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing and regulatory procedures
• Review of property level income statement, rent roll, tenancy schedules, and ageing reports
• Review of annual financial statements
• Calculation and processing of fund capital calls and distributions
• Assist in the preparation and completion of the audit process for assigned relationships

Operational:

• Translate strategy into an operational plan for delivery and provide oversight and guidance to ensure organisational leadership and day to day business running
• Work closely with wider CRM and Product team
• Develop and foster key relationships within business / product line and promote an environment of personal development and continuous improvement
• Drive strategic dialogue across operations and businesses to prioritize key initiatives

• Ensuring excellent client service delivery to existing clients and functional products
• Leading client relationships in line with the Operating Model
• Interact with Senior management and clients
• Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies.
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
• Implementation of fund structures onto accounting system
• Review of constitutional documents and preparation of client SLA and budgeting

Skills Required:

• A detailed understanding of Real Estate and REIT fund structures and the fund administration industry
• A detailed understanding of Regulatory requirements
• At least 8 years’ experience in fund accounting and a professional degree in accounting, economics or finance
• An understanding of Financial Statements including Income Statements, Statement of Financial Position, Cashflow and Statement of Changes in Equity and associated Notes
• An understanding of real estate fund accounting – e.g. drawdowns / distributions, SPVs, consolidation (equity pick up / MI / full consolidation), Interco balances, fund reporting
• An understanding reporting required by fund structures such as REITs, PLCs, Ltd Partnerships, Hold cos, Propcos.
• Advanced knowledge of e-Front / Yardi IM Module
• An ability and desire to work to tight deadlines
• An ability to multi-task and manage projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other divisions / offices of the bank and professional intermediaries
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
