Magna International Inc. Looking for Human Resources Supervisor at Brampton, ON Full Time

Role Summary

The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible to carry out a wide variety of duties for the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for the consistent delivery of the department’s day to day support service operation.

**The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna EV battery enclosures facility located in Brampton, ON**

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, guidance and leadership to his/her Team by assisting in solving day to day problems.
• Responsible for ensuring successful planning, implementation and effective project management for those items specific to the HR department.
• Monitor progress of assigned tasks and ensure they are completed within assigned timelines and provide support and resources when necessary.
• Aids in monitoring/planning departmental budget.
• Assists in annual reviews of Magna’s Total Compensation survey and makes recommendations for results.
• Ensure compliance to all established procedures/standards pertaining to this role and resolve discrepancies/deficiencies where required or appropriate.
• Assist in the development of Continuous Improvement initiative and manage resulting projects to completion and implementation as assigned.
• Carry out performance assessments, establish developmental/training requirements of jobs/Team Members, and implement corrective measures if required in order to sustain effectiveness of services provided.
• Assist/provide appropriate support/direction to HR teams, or members in order to assist them with meeting performance goals, and personal development needs.
• Participate in the ongoing maintenance of unified HR leadership by attending daily communication updates with Department Leader and delegate to Team Members any HR assignments received upon review and collaboration.
• Assist the Department Leader with development of meeting agendas based on daily needs identified through daily operations as required.
• Carry out analysis regarding quality of work life, Team Member relations matters and provide sound, accurate and appropriate advice for consistency in policy application; foresight regarding consequences, focus on division values/visions and compliance with legislative / corporate guidelines.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of positive Labour Relations strategies.
• Develop and oversee the services of Main Human Resources Office, Human Resources Coordinators and Health and Safety.
• Will support various committees i.e. Joint Health and Safety Committee, Employee Opinion Survey focus groups as requested.
• Act as liaison with external and internal sources pertaining to areas of responsibility.
• Establish and promote the maintenance of safe and healthful working conditions, and recommend ways to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards and improve environmental conditions.
• Plans and co-ordinates activities related to company health and safety, including safety records, accident investigations, WSIB reporting and follow-up, WSIB claims management, emergency procedures, WHMIS etc.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Must have completed Post- Secondary education in Human Resources.
• Minimum three years related work experience in Human Resources and/or in a leadership capacity.
• Completion of, or working towards HRPA designation, an asset.
