Job Description
The Opportunity
Manulife is seeking an Executive Assistant who is highly motivated to support Chief Legal Counsels who are responsible for legal advisory support for Individual Insurance & Affinity, Group Benefits, , Global Privacy & Cybersecurity and Distribution.
This individual will provide administrative and operational support and must interact seamlessly with various members of the Canada Law legal team as well as Executive Assistants for leaders of related functional and business groups.
This individual will report to the Chief Counsel, Individual Insurance, Affinity & Canada Law.
Accountabilities:
You will provide administrative support, including
coordinate sophisticated scheduling and calendar management for Chief Counsels, often in a fast-paced environment
draft, review and send routine and other communications, as required
organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attend to logistics of meetings
act as a point of contact and prioritize matters of attention, when necessary
coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements
prepare, reconcile, and submit expenses
organize team communications and plan events; assist in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and materials
act as a department records specialist for Canada Law
provide administrative support for related legal team members, as needed
prepare documents, reports, tables, and charts
use knowledge of company/department operations to answer routine inquiries
maintain confidential and sensitive information
maintain office supplies and equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
draft content of legal documentation under the supervision of a Chief Counsel, as needed
prepare contract and other legal summaries, as needed
assist with contract and other legal management as needed (e.g., supervising deadlines and outstanding matters)

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Waterloo, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$41,925.00 CAD – $69,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
