Student Summer Job: Finance Assistant, Toronto

Length of Role: 12 weeks, 35 hours/week, Full time, Contract
Salary: $15.00/hour

Summary of Tasks and Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Finance team in the following areas:

• Responsible for supporting the A/P supervisor and Director of Finance with day-to-day accounting and financial tasks
• Help prepare and send monthly customer billing
• Assist with follow up and tracking cost center expenses
• Assist with General Ledger Reconciliation
• Assist with the ERP implementation and post go live
• Collecting information and preparing reports as required
• General office administrative support as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• As per the Canada Summer Jobs program requirements, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period, and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
• Enrolled or graduated from an undergraduate degree
• Skilled in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written
• Able to take verbal and written direction and to follow through to completion of task and detail oriented
• Able to work well on own and manage time
• Ability to multi-task, proactively problem-solve and take initiative
