Business Development Manager
Our Business Development Managers are responsible for selling our solutions and services to gain new business working closely with our marketing teams targeting, prospecting, networking, and nurturing accounts under your initiative. You will own and develop a territory plan, identify targets, build account plans and profiles, demonstrate the ability to out-think and out-position our competition while developing lasting customer relationships. You will use various sales methodologies and techniques and, you understand the needs of clients and prospects and bring fresh ideas and value to them using MARU’s solutions.
The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment with ambitious targets. The successful candidate will also be a driven, well-rounded, genuine person who can hustle and deliver results.
We are looking for someone who:
Is responsible for acting as a liaison between the client and departments within the company to convey information, ensure understanding, and assuring everything gets done in an accurate, timely manner
Is responsible for identifying and creating qualified sales opportunities
Is responsible for building a sales pipeline to generate revenue, including pipeline build and CRM management
Is confident in selling solutions-based platforms
Can increase pipeline through active demand generation and targeted campaigns
Can manage multiple customers and quote requests
Can tell a fantastic, engaging story without using PowerPoint
You bring these skills with you:
Minimum 3-5 years sales experience, or a combination of field sales and account management
A track record of driving new business through prospecting, outbound lead generation and pipeline building using tools like NetSuite or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
History of get-up-and-go to hit the streets and close sales
Strong written communication as you will be writing attention-grabbing emails, presentations, and proposals
Comfortable and confident in delivering engaging in-person presentations
An ability to convey exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with your prospects and clients
Strong organizational skills that allow you to stay focused on different tasks to use your time and energy effectively and efficiently
Capable of completing administrative tasks in a detailed and time-efficient manner
An ability to develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions and services, relevant industry trends, and competition
You have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Sales, or a similar discipline
A background in Market Research is valued but not a necessity

Comfortable with leveraging multiple social channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, conferences/events, etc.) to make connections and start conversations with people
Polished and can get your message across easily

A positive person with the ability to excel under pressure
Collaborative, you naturally share ideas and never lose sight that you are part of a great team
Have a passion for technology, marketing, and sales
