Our Kingsville Head Office is currently seeking a Part-time Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. The essential function of this position is to assist and be responsible for the communication within the transportation network.
Shift required
Saturday: 10:00am to 10:00pm and Sunday 9:00am to 5pm or
Saturday: 10:00am to 9:00pm and Sunday 8:00am to 5pm
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate, plan, schedule and dispatch company drivers.
Execute daily route planning & preparation.
Daily task assignments to drivers.
Route efficiency: Monitor route progress throughout the shift, effect changes as appropriate.
Ensure safety & security procedures are understood and followed.
Resolve customer delivery issues.
Execute daily reporting of metrics as assigned.
Develop and maintain driver communication and provide the necessary driver support.
Update customers on delivery status of their freight in an accurate and timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One-year trucking dispatch experience required.
Knowledge of, and familiarity with MTO regulations & safety protocols an asset; will train.
Computerized dispatch skills.
Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task, take initiative and achieve results.
