What you’ll be doing:
Report directly to the President
Primary point-of-contact for all HR matters
Build an HR infrastructure to accommodate the current and future needs of our organization;
Streamline and implement effective and efficient employee onboarding functions, including new staff orientation processes, analyzing HRIS data, and conducting monitoring to ensure accuracy and compliance across the organization.
Build strong relationships and communicate with management and employees regarding policy management, HR processes & programs;
Assist and coach management to resolve performance and employment issues, as well as help with performance evaluations;
Administer enrollment and changes to the benefit and RRSP plans
Provide guidance and direction regarding compensation;
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process;
Works in collaboration with managers across the organization to proactively identify future hiring needs
Be responsible for the accuracy of information within complex communication materials and the confidentiality of correspondence;
Work cross functionally with the finance team
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, create and submit relevant reports to senior management/Group HR
Help to refine great culture by internal communication; and planning and executing great employee engagement initiatives.
What we require:
5+ years of Human Resources or similar experience;
Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources
Thorough understanding and delivery of employment legislation, policies and practices;
Proficient in MS Office, HRIS and Talent Management systems
CHRP and/or CHRL or in progress considered an asset.
Desired Skills:
A demonstrated ability to work independently with limited daily task management;
Highly motivated, and willing to work hard in a fast-paced environment;
The ability to influence, negotiate and work with all levels within the organisation;
Capable of dealing effectively with a variety of tasks, having the ability to frequently adjust priorities;
Initiative and have a strong business orientation;
Excellent oral and written communication skills with full fluency in English;
