Our beverage manufacturing and distribution client of Adult Beverages is recruiting for a Superstar
Senior Accountant.
The Successful Candidate will have previous Manufacturing background with a solid understanding of Distribution and preferably food and beverage experience.
Our client is looking for an energetic, driven individual to assist with full-cycle accounting and the management of financial functions for our operations. The role includes the preparation of our consolidated financial statements, financial reporting and maintaining controls and processes for our distribution facility and restaurant.
Reporting to the General Manager the Senior Accountant will be primarily involved with the management of daily full cycle accounting functions, maintaining general ledgers and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for all full cycle accounting such as preparing and posting journal entries and financial reports, including year-end general entries, reconciling accounts, running payroll, and managing payables and receivables. In addition, some preparation of other statistical, financial, and accounting reports will be required.
Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership, direction, and guidance on accounting & administration functions.
· Government reporting/remittance (GST/PST/Excise)
· Preparation and presentation Weekly/Monthly Statements including budget to actuals
· Payroll/Remittances – including WCB
· AP and AR reporting and Management
· Responsible for preparation of the primary manufacturing statistics and data driving the costs reports.
· Investigation of variances that affect the financial results & provide written reports on variances.
· Inventory control, including supervision and reconciliations.
· Support purchasing of ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials
· Provide analytical and accounting support to aid the General Manager in preparation of annual forecasts and budget development.
· Apply a constant improvement model in review of business processes and in building working relationships.
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Degree or Certificate in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting/or equivalent.
· Professional Designation CPA or Final year of studies
· 3-4 years’ of accounting experience. With preference for a manufacturing environment and a good working knowledge of full cycle accounting.
· Sound computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
· Sound communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
· Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess a high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.
