The role:
- Working with drivers to help them achieve mileage goals and ensure these goals are in line with organization goals.
- Maintain continuous contact with existing customers through e-mails and telephone
- Be patient and listen to driver concerns and follow up on them in a timely manner
- Review plans sent for each driver prior to dispatching, ensuring it is achievable
- Build strong, genuine relationships with clients built on a foundation of trust and camaraderie
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information to customers
- Coordinate freight, including booking loads and tracking and tracing shipments
- Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to deliver exceptional customer service to clients
- Communicate any delays or potential service failures in a timely manner to impacted Operations team members, Customer Service Representatives, as well as Operations managers so they in turn can communicate to customers and seek resolution
- Provide quotes and negotiate terms with customers and carriers
