FINANCE CLERK
Multiple Full-Time Permanent Position

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 37.5 hours weekly
Classification and Salary: AK1 $42,498 – $48,670 annually
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Vacation: 4 Weeks’ Vacation + 3 Wellness days per year
Reporting to the Comptroller, Director of Finance, or Finance Manager, the Finance Clerk is responsible for processing payments, invoices, and billings, recording and maintaining financial information, and processing payroll records for the Métis Child and Family Services Authority, the Métis Child, Family and Community Services Agency and the Michif Child and Family Services Agency.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you possess applied knowledge of payroll, accounts payable/receivable, coding expenses, administrative policy, and procedures; have superior organizational skills and an ability to work effectively under deadlines. You possess excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; are able to work independently, and with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, discretion, and good judgment. Well-developed technological skills associated with a modern office environment are a requirement of the position.
A business diploma or payroll certification is preferred however; two years of experience in a finance support capacity plus a one-year course in Accounting or payroll is acceptable. Intermediate-level computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Experience in payroll processing is an asset. Experience with Accpac, and Sage 300 is an asset.
Prior to commencing employment, the successful applicant will be asked to provide satisfactory results of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a Child Abuse Registry Check, and a Prior Contact Check upon hire at their own expense. A valid Manitoba driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel within and outside the city are required.
