HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 37.5 hours weekly
Classification and Salary: P1 ($45,675 – $56,418 annually)
Location: Currently working from home with office at 150 Henry Ave Winnipeg, MB
Vacation: 4.5 weeks per year
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator participates in the coordination and implementation of recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, workers compensation and employee and labour relations which involves service teams in Winnipeg and surrounding areas as well as providing support to the Human Resources department including varied office duties.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you must have 2-3 years human resources experience or an acceptable combination of administrative experience and human resources education. You have completed post-secondary education in human resources management. You have prior human resources experience working with a unionized workforce and you excel at building relationships and possess superior communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office is required, specifically Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Preferred Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Employment Equity Legislation, Workplace Safety and Health Act and Worker’s Compensation Legislation.
Prior to commencing employment the successful applicant will be asked to provide satisfactory results of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a Child Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check upon hire at their own expense. A valid Manitoba driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel within and outside the city are required.
