• Oversees the daily operations in the accounting department including supervision of Financial and Cost Accounting activities, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Manages the maintenance of the standard costing system, including bills of materials, variance reporting and inventory control. Support activity surrounding quoting of new business initiatives, including costing and profitability models.
• Maintains the system of accounts and ensures accuracy and integrity of the books and records, including accurate and timely account analysis and reconciliation.
• Oversees completion of month end close activities and ensure accurate and timely submission of all Corporate and internal reporting requirements .
• Coordinates and directs the preparation of the annual financial budget and forecast updates and cash flow tracking as required.
• Conducts reviews of financial performance on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required. Reports on actual performance versus budget and provides plant operations management with analysis to support decision making .
• Provides support for capital expenditure projects including analysis required to support the approval of the project.
• Responsible for managing the maintenance of the fixed asset sub-ledger including reconciliation of the sub-ledger to the General Ledger, ensuring timely updates for additions and disposals, tagging of assets on the shop floor.
• Work with Plant Management on cost improvement activities which include regular review of plant projects, validating the financial impact and forecasting and reporting savings

• University degree required.
• Professional designation in a recognized accounting program( CPA and/or CGA designations)
• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, familiar with Lean manufacturing principles.
• Superior knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
