Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced General Labourer to join our experienced & professional team!!
The General Labourer plays a critical role in the successful completion of Milestones projects. General Laborer’s contribute to efficient daily productions through proactive thinking, preplanning and active communication with operators and management. General Laborer’s are key contributing members of the team and have the opportunity to exponentially learn and grow. Milestone’s civil division works on a variety of different projects. The work includes civil & infrastructure, environmental construction, industrial & commercial, residential development, landscaping, and much more!
The General Laborer will be involved in specific civil division projects and/or the landscaping phase of Milestones civil construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities – What is my role?
- Complete & assist in physical labor on site
- Actively and consistently prepare sites by cleaning, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards
- Operate and care for small tools, equipment and machines
- Assist field staff and provide support when needed
- Report and communicate with site Supervisor and/or Superintendent to ensure clear understanding of work at hand and expectations of the day/week
- Report any/all unsafe work, incidents and/or concerns to Supervisor and/or Superintendent
Qualifications & Requirements – What skills & qualifications do I need?
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to do extensive physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work in all weather
- Punctual and reliable
- Friendly, positive, and open attitude, always willing to learn and improve
- Ability to work and communicate within a team
- Help promote and work within a culture of jobsite safety, where safety is everyone’s #1 priority
- Experience as a general laborer in construction industry is an asset
- Attention to detail is an asset
