MJM Pet Supplies is pet supplies distributor located in Cambridge, Ontario. We are looking for a dynamic member to join our team as a Transport & Logistics Supervisor.
This role is Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm (flexibility required when needed, minimum 40 hrs per week)
You will be responsible for;
Vehicles (Delivery Trucks)
- Schedule maintenance and repairs
- Effectively handles equipment weather delays/route changes
- Manage all reporting relating to the operation of delivery trucks
- Manage the fleet management software
Drivers
- Creates & manages schedules for drivers
- Facilitates regular driver meetings to ensure consistent communication
- Main contact for all drivers calls and inquiries
- Plans driver routes and relay routes to drivers
- Monitors and ensures appropriate driver workloads, and determining possible new routes when applicable
- Management of all driver medicals and CVOR/Insurance
- Creates, maintains, and update delivery routes
Logistics
- Identify and implement cost savings and efficiencies
- Process all in and out-bound freight in a cost-effective and timely manner
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within supply chain and logistics
- Working knowledge of all Health and Safety standards and WHMIS
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (word, excel etc.)
- Be extremely organized and attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
DZ License is an asset but not required.
We will be reviewing resumes the first week of December.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
