What’s the role?

• This is a 12-month contract position**

As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Modern Campus, you will be primarily responsible for designing and executing tests to ensure the delivery of high quality solutions within our Lifelong Learning product. You should have a consistent track record of delivery and solid testing skills that considers configurability, security and scalability. You are analytical and can solve interesting and complex problems and implement innovative solutions. You will not only be utilizing your technical skills but also assist in translating business requirements into technical solutions by closely collaborating with Product Management.

You are not only a strong and dependable individual contributor, but also a team contributor that will help drive the team efficiency and velocity.

• Participate in the creation and execution of manual test plans and test cases
• Investigate, report, and track product failures to resolution.
• Become a subject matter expert in respective modules.
• Share quality and process knowledge with the team.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle – requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment.
• Participate in the project planning process including estimating and process improvements in an Agile environment.
• Strive at all times to do work using best practices – through experience or experimentation.
• Proven ability to create manual test scripts with a desire to automate manual tests
• Meticulously documenting and maintaining test issue logs for individual deliverables
• Partnering with web developers and project managers on identifying and retesting fixes
• Review and test incoming HTML/CSS design deliverables, identifying and documenting issues
• Reviews and revises testing procedures, documentation, and methodologies.
• Documents testing efforts and testing plans.
• Assists in the training of co-workers on QA testing procedures and plans as they are developed.
• You have experience with most of the following technologies:
• Java , Tomcat, Apache, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Bootstrap or other front-end frameworks, MSSQL Server, Selenium, Serenity, JBehave automation frameworks
• Proficient using XML, XSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, and other web programming languages to accomplish tasks.
• Uses effective writing, verbal, and presentation skills in composing written materials, responding to emails, and regular interaction to solve work related problems and concerns.
• Performs additional small tasks as directed by Team Lead.

• This is a 12-month contract position.
• The salary range* for this contract position is between $60,000 – $80,000.

What You Offer…

• University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or relevant work experience
• 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance in large, complex, and highly integrated technology environments
• 2 years’ experience working as a Quality Assurance, environment or in a similar capacity on software development environment.
• 1-2 years of experience in test automation. Hands-on experience with the test automation tools and frameworks.
• Proven analytical capabilities to analyze requirements, create test cases and evaluate test results.
• Proven ability to respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test cases.
