We are looking for a Director of Human Resources to add to our team! Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, you’ll be driving people-centric strategies that grow our culture, engagement and overall company-performance.
We are looking for someone who is obsessed with cultivating talent and knows how to lead HR in a relatable way. Our employees spend so much time at work and we want to ensure they enjoy their jobs, believe in our vision and are empowered to excel in their roles! This role is leading and managing the design, implementation and effective delivery of a full range of HR programs.
How HR Fits into Our Culture
HR isn’t on an island here. Instead it is part of our business everyday and ingrained in everything we do. We value connections and trust within our teams and we work hard to foster that at all levels in the organization, especially within the leadership team (which includes HR).
HR isn’t about power, authority and making rules (i.e. policies). Instead, we focus on creating a culture where everyone can thrive. When it comes to policies, they need to benefit employees as much as the employer and can’t be written in ‘legal speak’.
HR isn’t the master of jargon and ‘corporate speak’. Instead, Being supportive and ingrained into the fabric of the business is so important to us. We are proud of how authentic and transparent our leadership team is and we are looking for an HR leader who can do the same as well as continue to help us cultivate this culture!
This job is…
Being a key business driver for us; managing the full suite of HR (strategic, talent development and operational) practices with a leadership seat at the table.
Hyper-focused on culture and engagement; bringing new ideas to the table as well as data and insight. You listen to all employees and you build strategies that continue to grow our culture, employee satisfaction and make us an awesome place to work.
Leading our employer brand with authenticity; from establishing the strategies to managing all company pages, campaigns and industry involvement. You are focused on ensuring the incredible culture within Diply is authentically showcased externally.
Ensuring we positively impact our local communities; championing ways for our employees to get involved in their communities through their volunteer day (yes, we do want EVERY employee to use this day) to leading initiatives focused on the giving of life (i.e. Blood Drives), stuff (i.e. donations), time (i.e. volunteering) and money (i.e. financial donations).
HR Systems & tools; leading the HR systems in place and identifying the need for any new tools and resources. Most importantly, leading and managing the HRIS system of choice!
Focused on having the right people, in the right place, at the right time; from organizational design to full-cycle recruitment, training and development, you are focused on getting the right talent through the door and cultivating the employees that are here. You know our employees well and are constantly working on career paths, 360 degree feedback, succession planning, hiring, training, DE&I and development activities. Your goal is to retain our top talent and continue to bring new top-talent into the company.
Celebrating the wins (big and small); bringing the fun into the every-day grind. You are focused on employee engagement and recognition and ensuring the programs in place are meeting the needs of employees as well as bringing forward new ideas.
Driven by data and insight: when making big decisions, you always want data and insight to help inform you. You are constantly seeking and assessing the information employees provide and never hesitate to send out a survey or meet 1:1 to learn more. You LOVE the idea of a culture and engagement study as well as pulse surveys to really understand the heart of the organization.
All about keeping a pulse on the market; you are constantly assessing the talent in our industry and seeing how the landscape is changing. From working remotely practices to in-demand jobs – you have a pulse on what is happening and are actively engaged with the digital publishing community.
This job is not…
A traditional HR role; we are dynamic and things move FAST. We are dynamic and haven’t built our HR department off of ‘policies.’ Instead, this role is focused on HR as the strategic partner and talent grower!
