Monsoon Education is looking for online tutors to teach Chemistry to students from Grades 9 to 12. The lessons will be conducted exclusively 1-on-1 and online so the position is 100% remote.
Lessons can be scheduled throughout the week with flexibility to accommodate your availability and desired workload. Availability on at least two weekdays each week between 12pm – 3pm is highly desirable.
Our team will handle the administration and provide you with tailored digital content, assessment tests, and grading assistance to enable you to focus on delivering high-quality lessons.
We believe in compensating tutors fairly for their time. With no commute, minimal required lesson preparation and no post-lesson activities, you will be able to maximize your billable hours and not waste your available time.
Who we are looking for
- Teachers, tertiary students, professionals, and experienced tutors.
Requirements
- Degree in chemistry, engineering or another similarly relevant field (current students of such a program in their third year of study or later also qualify)
- Passion for teaching
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Access to a computer with a reliable and fast internet connection
- Neat, private, and quiet space to work from which is suitable to host professional online lessons
- Clear vulnerable sector check (guidance on the process can be provided)
- Two references from previous teaching/work/study
- Teaching qualifications such as OCT or previous tutoring experience are preferred but not required
- Candidates must be physically located in Ontario
