Municipality of Bluewater Looking for Deputy Treasurer at Zurich, ON Full Time

This key position reports to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer and will be a valued team member. The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for performing the statutory duties of the Treasurer as well as assisting the Manager of Finance/Treasurer with the budget, including calculation of the levy, financial Information return, Tangible Capital Asset accounts, accounts receivable and reconciliations. Qualifications:

*Completion of post-secondary education in accounting, finance or business studies.
*Completion or working towards an accounting designation.
*Experience processing electronic payroll. Payroll Certification/Designation.
*A minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting or administrative role.
*Enrolment in or completion of the Municipal Accounting and Finance Program sponsored by the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.
*Skilled in current software programs including Advanced Microsoft Office and Windows. Working knowledge of payroll and municipal accounting procedures and processes.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, public relations, organizational and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines, to function well under pressure, proper telephone etiquette, and to work effectively as a member of a team.
*Must be bondable – clear criminal background check.

A vulnerable sector background check, as well as proof of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19 must be provided by the date of commencement of employment.

Salary: $71,988.00-$89,980.00 per year
