This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of driver dispatch, scheduling, routing and to ensure that all activities are accurately recorded while maintaining a strong relationship with the client.
· Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Responsible for keeping the customer informed as well as escalating any issues to the Logistics Manager.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in logistics/transportation is considered an asset,
· Understanding of ocean freight and customs regulations
· Knowledge of INCO terms an asset
· Ability to work flexible shift times as required,
· Ability to manage any unplanned events or manage last minute requests from the customers, keeping all parties informed of any changes. This includes creating back up plans for shipments.
