We are looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our passionate and collaborative team of high performers in downtown Calgary. Are you someone who thrives on providing an exceptional employee experience in a fast-paced, growing, tech start-up? In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all people related inquiries such as immigration, relocation, compensation, benefits and everything in-between! You will also oversee the onboarding and offboarding of our employees, and take ownership over managing and maintaining our HRIS system. If you are someone with a passion for people & systems, loves working in a collaborative team environment, and has high attention to detail, this role is for you!
What you’ll be doing::
Provide a seamless onboarding experience for our new hires by ensuring offer letters, background checks, benefits applications, new hire orientations, etc. have been successfully completed
Respond to inquiries in our People ticketing system including immigration, relocation, employment letters, and benefits
Update and maintain our data within our HRIS system and across other platforms, ensuring a high degree of accuracy. This includes updating our HRIS system with any changes to employee titles, compensation, reporting structures, terminations, etc.
Support the People team with special projects, People reports & metrics, change management initiatives and help to drive a high performance culture
Have a continuous improvement mindset to ensure our onboarding, offboarding, and HR systems are being operated efficiently and consistently
Who we’re looking for::
2+ years of human resources experience as a generalist, coordinator, or similar type of position
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field
Exceptional attention to detail, results-driven, and a can-do attitude
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to quickly develop positive working relationships across all teams and functions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing tech environment with multiple competing priorities
