We are seeking a self-motivated business builder to join our team as Director of Business Development and play a key role in the launch of our new marketing group in the construction equipment industry. The successful candidate will have primarily responsibility for adding new Members to the group. They will also work with the Vice President to establish relationships with Supplier Partners and influence Members to increase their business with the group’s Suppliers.
Our ideal candidate will have outstanding prospecting and selling skills combined with the ability to see new business opportunities and drive the business to capitalize on them. Success in this role can form the foundation for additional opportunities within our company.

Responsibilities
· Research target industries to identify companies as potential new members
· Establish contact with Owners/Presidents of prospects and present the group opportunity
· Sell the benefits of becoming a group member
· Achieve annual new member objectives
· Develop relationships with potential Supplier Partners
· Drive Member purchases to our Suppliers
· Identify new opportunities for continued expansion of the group
Qualifications
· 5 – 10 years successful business development and/or sales experience
· Proven ability to make cold-calls to reach senior decision makers
· Strong analytical skills
· Driven, persistent, well-organized
· Excellent communication skills
· Construction equipment experience an asset
· MBA or BBA / BComm
· Ability to travel within Canada and USA
