Role Purpose

As part of the Human Resources Team this entry-level role is responsible for supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, talent programs, project work, and general administration.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.

Accountabilities:

• Using your knowledge of organizational policies, and the collective agreement you will respond to a full range of inquiries as the primary point of contact for the department
• Provides confidential administrative support to routine services such as employment confirmation letters, employment changes, maintain electronic employee files and policy maintenance and tracking
• Assist with implementation of new programs and initiatives, which may include coordinating materials, meetings and assisting with facilitating sessions.
• Assist with the administration of the Employee Benefits Program and involvement in the Disability Management Process
• Assist with department purchasing requirements (ordering, communication with vendors), creating purchase orders and SAP administration
• Support Employee On and Off-Boarding (new hire orientations, welcome packages, paper work, exit interviews), including trend analysis
• Administer Employee Appreciation programs (review program compliance, employee nominations)
• Provides Labour Relations administrative support in the form of Grievance Tracking, scheduling meetings, assisting in the preparation for Grievance Meetings, identifying trends, and any other Union reporting requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resource or Industrial Relations specialization or a related discipline
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR) is considered an asset
• 3 years of experience in Human Resources or combination of education and experience
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of Products, Microsoft Teams, and One View reports
• Experience with SAP and/or other HR information systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong multi-tasking and proven ability to manage competing priorities based on business demands
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Self-motivated and takes initiative; proactively looks for ways to add value
