NexGen Energy Ltd. Looking for Accounts Payable Clerk at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada Full Time

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable team with achieving timely and accurate processing of all things payable (internal & external), vendor correspondence & management, plus supporting the finance team with other administrative functions to achieve the common goals of the department.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Participate and contribute as part of a team to provide financial and administrative support.
• Process invoices and expense claims utilizing accounting software.
• Monitor invoices against budget and ensure proper account coding.
• Obtain invoice approvals from various department heads.
• Prepare payment runs.
• Print cheques, send vendor remittances, and monitor vendor accounts.
• Maintain accounts payable records, including preparing PST and GST returns.
• Ensure accounts payable and accounting duties are performed with the Company’s internal control framework.
• Complete credit card and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with the year-end audit as needed.
• Performance of general accounting duties.
• Other duties as required.
