The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Activity Nurse within the Organic Assessment Admission Ward. The role will involve:
To undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or similar setting. Reports patient condition to registered staff.

What we’ll need you to bring
- SVQ II in health care or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring role.
- Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
- Required to undertake on the job training and induction
- Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Knowledge of the issues that can affect people suffering from long term mental and Intellectual health issues.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience of working in an in-patient setting.
- Preferred experience within mental health or Learning Disability setting.

This role will be based in MHLD Team within Udston Hospital.
The working pattern for this role 7.5 hours over 5 days.
