TALENT ACQUISITION ASSISTANT (CASUAL)

Reporting to the Manager, People, the Talent Acquisition Assistant works closely with the Talent Acquisition team, HR Business Partners, and hiring managers across the College to support recruitment activities including job postings, screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and communicating with potential and successful candidates.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Develop creative, professional job postings utilizing various internal and external sources, websites, organizations, and partnerships.
- Assist with resume screening and distribute resumes in a timely manner.
- Schedule interviews with potential candidates.
- Manage the interview process in a manner that provides an exceptional customer service experience for all participants.
- Conduct reference checks and regret unsuccessful candidates in an efficient and customer centric manner.
- Facilitate the education verification process to ensure in compliance with the Faculty Collective agreement.
- Maintain recruitment materials by ensuring records are organized and filed in a timely manner.
- Daily monitoring of the HR Mailbox.
- Assist with and respond to external inquiries.
- Provide technical troubleshooting for our applicant tracking system.
- Assist with the compiling of recruitment statistics and information, and work on special HR projects.
What You Bring
- Completion of, or working towards, a Diploma in Human Resources Management.
- 1+ years’ previous related experience in administration, in the Human Resources industry preferred.
- Experience with iCIMS, PeopleSoft, and Acuity are assets.
- Demonstrated interest in writing job ads and screening resumes.

SALARY $21.57 – $27.03/hour plus 11.2% in lieu of vacation. This is a casual position with up to full-time hours available.
