Position Scope:
Site: Syncrude-Aurora
Schedule: 14×7 Days/Nights -11.5 hours/day (14 days, 7 off, 14 nights, 7 off)
Accommodations: Not provided
Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)
Incentive Pay: Successful candidates will receive $33 per day worked Aurora Incentive Pay
Overtime: Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week
Hourly Rate: Up to $32.34 per hour
NACG is looking for Skilled Ground Workers to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
Site: Syncrude-Aurora

Overtime: Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week
Hourly Rate: Up to $32.34 per hour
The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years experience working as a Labourer and driving in the mine.
- Able to do heavy manuel labour and shoveling
- Able to run plate tamper
- Pipe job experience required
- Able to communicate fluently via radio and understand direction
- High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education cosidered an asset
- Mechanically inclined considered an asset
- Must be fluent in the English language
Summary:
All successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Have experience as requested as mentioned above
- Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fitness-to-Work Assessment
- Audiometric Testing
- Vision Screening
- Criminal Record Check
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- CSO or BSO Certification
- Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
- VOID cheque/direct deposit form
Once dispatched the following processes will occur:
- Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
- An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
- After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
