About The Opportunity
The Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) Utility Worker (Tow Motor Driver) works in the patient food services and retail food setting. This position is responsible to drive a 5-ton truck transporting food and goods between hospital sites. The position is responsible and accountable to accuracy of deliveries including putting away orders utilizing a standardized process. The position will also be responsible for preparing, serving and distribution of meals and supplies to patients, staff, families, and customers. As well as taking meal orders using computer software program. Additionally, they are responsible for cleaning equipment, dishes, and utensils, as well as ensuring overall cleanliness of their work. The Utility Worker (Tow Motor Driver) also supports safe food handling procedures and overall service excellence providing safe, prompt, efficient transport, and storage of NFS supplies, equipment etc. between sites of the Nova Scotia Health, Central Zone. This position may also work as a Utility Worker in Nutrition & Food Services without driving responsibilities on some days.

Compensation and Incentives
$20.13 – $21.69 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
