Position: Senior Logistics Analyst
Reporting To: Manager, Process and Analytics
Job Summary
We are 3rd Party Logistics company seeking a full-time individual to join our Process and Analysis team as a Senior Logistics Analyst. This position focuses on the ability to understand transportation rating and the ability to manage complex data sets. This person must be fluent in English, a strong team player, but also have the discipline to work independently. Strong analytical and customer service skills are critical in this role. Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead analytical studies/consulting projects, as assigned
- Design/update audit and analytics reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Interface with clients to acquire business data, information and insight
- Understand customers’ needs, service those needs, and, maintain and develop positive business relationships
- Obtain sign-off on scope changes and deliverables
- Assist in development of new reporting tools, processes and procedures to deliver value-added analytical services
- Provide project management support for the implementation of new clients, internal projects, etc., as assigned
- Collaborate with staff, other departments, and senior management to share information, problem solve, and to clarify management objectives
- Identify and manage the resolution of issues with clients, their carriers, management, and other internal departments
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives for client processing
- Assist in reviewing client’s financial reports identifying errors in coding and working with appropriate parties to correct
- Work with colleagues to ensure that Process documentation and Client SOP’s are kept up to date and accurate
- Submit suggestions to Vice President, Audit & Analytics and/or Manager, Process and Analytics regarding system-related ideas that could improve the overall operation, including Impact changes, validation reports, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the Transportation/Logistics field
- Strategic thinker
- Excellent customer service skills
- High-level of proficiency in MS Excel
- Knowledge of SQL Query, Crystal Reports and Tableau Dashboards a definite asset
- Ability to work creatively and analytically, both independently and in a problem-solving team-oriented environment
- Have a strong sense of urgency, strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Strong oral & written communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
