ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Summer Jr. Sales Development Representative (JSDR), you will be responsible for prospecting new consulting clients through cold outreach – whether it be through LinkedIn, email, or phone. You will mainly be targeting small-to-medium (SME) sized clients across North America, though other clients can be targeted as well. You will be responsible for communicating to them our value proposition, and how we’re best suited to solve their problems. Additionally, you will be responsible for onboarding any new consulting clients you obtain, and introducing them to our consultants. 

Students with knowledge of the Canadian ESG or sustainability field, or with an interest in management consulting are especially encouraged to apply. 

There may be the possibility of extending the internship throughout the school year after the summer term. If you are interested, there is also the possibility of becoming a Summer Associate consultant, if the need arises (upon completion of a case interview). 

This position will also be 100% remote.

Note that this is an unpaid internship. Consequently, for legal reasons, you will need to either reside in New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island; or, if you do not reside in either of these provinces, you will need to ask your university’s Career Management Centre to provide you with a co-op credit for taking this internship. Legally, unpaid internships outside of these provinces must occur as part of a university or college course. If you are not located in one of these provinces, you must provide evidence that you are eligible for a university/college co-op credit before the start date of this internship. 

However, while this position is normally unpaid, we will offer a 1% commission of project revenue for each client project secured, once all funds for the project have been received.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cold reach out to potential clients using LinkedIn, email, phone, etc.
• Lead onboarding calls with new clients and introduce them to the consultancy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be currently enrolled in a Canadian university, ideally studying Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a closely related subject. 
• Must have Canadian work authorization (Canadian citizenship, Permanent Residency, or work permit).
• Must provide evidence that you will obtain a co-op credit from your university for this internship (not applicable if you reside in New Brunswick or PEI).
• Must have good soft skills in selling and presenting.
• Native-level fluency in English. 

NICE-TO-HAVE

• At least 6 months of experience in sales, retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus (including summer jobs and internships)
• Proficiency in French would be a plus
• Having a LinkedIn Premium or a LinkedIn Sales Navigator subscription would be beneficial, but is optional.
• Knowledge of the ESG/sustainability or travel industries would be beneficial
• Knowledge or experience working in small-to-medium (SME) businesses or in a retail/restaurant setting.
