Position Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Junior Business Analyst for our Salmon Arm office, Reporting to the Business Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the translation of business needs with the Business Manager into system solutions, updating and evaluating current business processes and reports. Assisting in development of and maintenance to automated reporting. Coordinating with other key team members to create or improve reporting requirements. As well as coverage of other finance functions on a back-up basis.

Major Job Functions Assisting with:

• Developing, and updating Corporate Dashboards in excel.
• Monitor and develop data metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.
• Reviewing business processes, system improvement and report creation.
• Assisting with processing financial entries and other accounting related tasks on a backup basis, such as Accounts Payable and Receivable, invoice processing, and/or Payroll.
• Other tasks and Duties as Assigned.

Specific Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications the Office 365 Suite, specifically Excel and a strong desire to improve and develop with Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent Verbal and written communications skills.
• Detail-Orientated.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Effective Time-Management Skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Education and Experience:

• Prior Business Analyst experience working in a complex business environment preferred.
• A University Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field an asset.
• Have, or working towards CPA Designation an asset.
• Prior experience with SQL language, API or database management an asset.
