The Opportunity
OpenText is looking for a Principal Product Manager with B2B Integration experience to support the Business Network business unit. The Principal Product Manager develops the product strategy, drives the definition and the delivery of product releases and is responsible for the full life cycle of the product. She/he works closely with the go-to-market team to ensure the product roadmap can meet the requirements of the business plan and be successfully rolled out.
In this role, the Principal Product Manager will drive the Business Network strategy for the Trading Grid Managed Services product portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of B2B transactions and integration technologies and how those are used to streamline business processes, supply chain solutions, APIs, SaaS solutions, and managed services delivery and support models. A strong technical background is required.
The Principal Product Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the product. He/she maintains close relationships with the market (customers, evaluators, and potentials) for awareness of market needs, defining market requirements, development of solutions, packaging features into product releases, and managing Agile product backlogs. This position involves close interaction with sales, marketing, development leads, product architects, and key customers.

Discovering and validating market problems (both existing and future customers).
Seeking new market opportunities by leveraging the company’s distinctive competence.
Providing oversight of strategy, technical, and marketing aspects of the product.
Creating and maintaining the business plan including pricing.
Determining buy/build/partner decisions.
Approving final marketing and go-to-market plans.
Analyzing the competitive landscape.
Working with key customers, analysts, and members of the field organization to gather requirements for future releases and feedback on current releases.
Maintaining the product roadmap and representing it internally and externally.
What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information systems, business, supply chain, or logistics & transportation. MBA is a plus.
7-10+ years of Product Management experience in B2B integration services, integration technologies, or enterprise resource planning software.
Experience with any of the following integration solutions: B2B supply chain, integration broker, A2A, Enterprise-class SaaS, or integrated PaaS solutions.
Experience with SPS and or IBM Sterling
Experience with mid-market ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Infor, and/or Epicor is desirable.
Strong customer orientation and proven experience in sales situations.
Strong background in consumer or enterprise software user experience strategy, design, and development.
Skilled in presentations and discussions with business and technical staff.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and methodologies.
Strong English language communication and presentation skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Effective at influencing and convincing others into action yet able to also be a collaborative team member.
Accustomed to working in an international environment involving multiple development sites in geographically distributed time zones.
