The Opportunity:

OpenText is seeking a strong Full Stack Software Engineer for our Cloud Service Delivery Business Network Technical Solutions team. You will utilize knowledge and experience to perform design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You will also play a key role in the development of work teams by providing others with direction and leadership.

You are great at:

• Leading, driving, implementing highly scalable and complex solutions
• Experience with modern UI frameworks
• Understanding and learning unfamiliar technologies and frameworks, concepts and design patterns and integrating them quickly while working in a fast paced, team-driven agile development environment
• Utilizing analytical skills to developing new features, as well as, enhancing existing features, and frameworks, and troubleshooting problems.
• Defining best practices and standards for application and database design
• Leading software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards
• Taking ownership of features and code bases, working under pressure, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Suggesting enhancements and providing input on products and features developed by the team.
• Providing status updates to stakeholders and escalating issues when necessary.

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of enterprise product development experience
• Highly skilled in algorithm design and analysis, including knowledge of data structures and design patterns. Strong Java programming skills required.
• RDBMS experience is required at least with one of the databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL or DB2
• Previous experience in the Financial Services Industry
• Deep Understanding of Spring, Hibernate, Rich UI Frameworks such (Sencha ExtJS, Angular, etc.), MQ, API Development, Financial Messaging Protocols – FIX, SWIFT
• Experience working with at least one of the following application servers is strongly preferred: Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle application server/web logic, web sphere.
• Experience/knowledge of Soap API and/or Restful API are strongly preferred
• Experience working with server internals such as multi threads, process model, memory management, scheduler, clustering, and load balancing are strongly preferred
• Knowledge/experience with C++ is a plus
• Knowledge/experience with Hadoop, Hive, MongoDB are strong plus
