We are looking to hire an HR Generalist who is detail oriented, has solid exposure to a variety of HR disciplines, is a collaborative team player and who wants to develop and grow their HR expertise with us.
Responsibilities:
Input employee information into HR system, maintain, update and document employment changes, including new hires, salary changes, terminations for monthly payroll runs
Responsible for preparation of payroll data for input by Finance
Conduct employee onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth new hire transition to the new team
Active participant in talent acquisition and recruitment processes for junior and Senior positions
Administration of candidate pre-employment testing, including candidate contact, test administration and reporting
Coordinate with department managers to provide better Talent Management strategies and practices
Administer benefits plan through Canada Life (implement Addition, Termination, Changes)
Stay up-to-date for all HR and company policies, provide coaching or advice to managers and employees to make sure legal compliance on all aspects of HR functions
Create and maintain HR metrics reporting for senior management – for example, Recruitment Report, Compensation Analysis, HR Items Completion Report
Primary HR resource for management of probation reviews and contract renewals; also involved in managing performance check ins during probation period.
Maintain employee personnel records through BambooHR and physical files.
Provide dedicated HR support and employee relations services to employees and managers
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
Certified CHRP or CHRL candidate or in process is an asset
At least 5-7 years of related HR generalist experience
Experienced in a variety of HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, employee coaching, onboarding and employee engagement; solid growth potential
Experienced in dealing with employee group benefits programs
Excellent written and verbal negotiation and communication skills
Detail-oriented and well-organized
Proactive and creative problem-solving skills; focus on continuous improvement
Quick learner and be able to bear pressure in fast paced working environment
