Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Specialist to join our team! Project Controls will participate in the delivery of leading-edge infrastructure projects, working closely with the project controls manager to ensure the financial integrity of the project
What You’ll Be Doing:
Interface with assigned Segment/ Project Manager in construction to deliver all required Project Control support
Work with Project Controls Manager and Segment/ Project Managers to provide accurate CTC/ EAC and Key Quantity updates to ensure accurate status of schedule and client billing
Work closely with contract management team to ensure all impacts of changes are identified and considered
Assess the charge impacts to project schedules and budgets
Develop baselines for budgets and schedules and forecast resource requirements
Manage cost control, performance measurement, and change management processes
Implement and ensure accurate performance measurements and prepare project reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Analyze and submit reports to the client and management
Business controls documentation, coordination and support activities used to manage day-to-day business and client audits
Participate in development activities for continual improvement in the project
Ensure compliance with Company and customer policies and procedures
Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
Manage client and key stakeholders’ expectations to build and sustain long-term relationships with clients
Effective communication of all the required activities and follow-up as a result of the scope changes
Work together with project management staff to ensure accurate and effective management of project budget and project deliverables
Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 5+ years of related work experience.
Proven progressive experience in project controls
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schedule reports
Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize with experience responding to changing deadlines/ priorities
Familiarity with Primavera P6 an asset
JD Edwards Enterprise, Projectwise, and 3D Modelling an asset
Experience with MS Office, and the ability to work with multiple programs
