Position: Junior Accountant (project accounting)

Location: Downtown Vancouver (hybrid work model)

About the role:

• Support full-cycle accounting for various corporate entities and complex project entities, including processing accounts payable, preparing monthly close journal entries, preparing invoices, preparing bank reconciliations and processing deposits;
• Prepare and support preparation of monthly financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements and GST reasonability calculations, for various corporate and project entities
• Collect and provide invoices and other information for auditors and quantity surveyors;
• Process invoices and ensure the accuracy of coding, allocation and approvals;
• Prepare and process cheque requisitions
• Maintain vendor profile and EFT vendor information
• Process monthly ACH/EFT and cheque payments
• Perform ad hoc tasks to support Director of Finance, Corporate Controller and Project Accounting Managers as needed

Requirements:

• Related Accounting Education
• CPA enrolment or plan to enroll
• 2+ years of accounting experience, real estate preferred but not required
